Laxmi Pooja on Diwali is performed to invite wealth, success, and positivity into the household. It is observed on the evening of Diwali before lighting diyas.
Purpose: Invoking Goddess Laxmi for blessings and prosperity.
Time: Pradosh Kaal (after sunset). Samagri: Laxmi-Ganesh idols, kalash, ghee diya, haldi, kumkum, coins, sweets, rice, agarbatti, dhoop, camphor, lotus flowers, red cloth.
Steps Overview:
- Clean and decorate the pooja area with rangoli and flowers.
- Place idols on a red cloth, facing east.
- Perform Ganesh Pooja first.
- Offer haldi, kumkum, flowers, and sweets to Goddess Laxmi.
- Light diyas and perform the Laxmi Aarti.
- Offer prasad and light fireworks.
